# Connect other MCP clients

> The Atmark MCP server's URL, auth header, transport, and supported protocol versions. Any MCP client that meets these works.

## Server requirements

| Transport | Streamable HTTP, `POST` only. No session id and no SSE stream; responses are JSON. `GET` returns `405`. |
| Authentication | `Authorization: Bearer atk_agent_…` |
| Protocol versions | `2025-11-25`, `2025-06-18`, `2025-03-26` |
| `Origin` header | Returns `403` if present. Call it server to server, not from a browser. |

## Check with curl

Use this to tell a client problem from a server problem.

| Response | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `200` with `result.tools` | Working |
| `401`, `"code":-32001` | The token is missing, wrong, revoked, or expired. |
| `403` `Origin not allowed` | The request carried an `Origin` header. |
| `400`, `"code":-32022` | The version in the `MCP-Protocol-Version` header isn't supported. `error.data.supported` lists the supported versions. |
| `405` | A `GET` request. This is expected. |

## Tools and scopes

`tools/list` only returns the tools the token's scopes allow. With a read-only token, the send tools don't appear. See [MCP tools](https://docs.atmark.ai/en/connect/mcp-tools) for the list.
